Applied Energy為Elsevier出版社旗下SCI頂級期刊(SCI一區)，2013年影響係數為5.261、論文下載次數超過1.7百萬次，該刊物每年由主編、編委組成年度最佳論文審查員評選小組(Best Reviewer Evaluation Panel)，將過去一年以來超過1000名參與論文審查工作學者的審查紀錄，根據其(1)審查的論文數量(quantity (numbers of reviews))、(2)審查速度(speed (how fast the reviews completed))以及(3)審查品質(quality (professional evaluations, constructive comments, suggested revisions, and so on)，評選出年度10位最佳評審員(Top 10 Best Reviewers)，藉以鼓勵更多優秀審查員的辛苦投入審查工作改善期刊收錄出版的論文品質。
